Our Grape Varieties
The vineyards include an important plot of Pinot Noir. Originally cultivated in Burgundy and Champagne, the selected biotype planted in Valmarina produces high-quality wines, both as a red and a white, and serves as a sparkling wine base with a rich bouquet.

- Red Wines
The red wine is made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, well known for single-varietal vinification or blended in the classic Bordeaux style.
- White Wines

The white wines include Riesling Renano and Italico, from which we obtain a fresh, floral, and aromatic wine that undergoes long bottle aging and is certainly not a vintage wine.
Another white is Chardonnay, suitable for both still and sparkling vinification.
Additionally, we have planted PIWI grapes (an acronym for pilzwiderstandfähig, meaning "fungus-resistant vines") Solaris and Souvignier Gris. PIWI varieties are still relatively unknown but perfectly embody our philosophy of producing wines with minimal phytosanitary interventions, while offering a delightful surprise with their distinctive bouquet.
They are vinified as single varieties to enhance their character. Their main feature is requiring minimal treatment, achieved by crossing plants that preserve organoleptic properties, following a shared philosophy towards organic viticulture, and developing persistent resistance to fungal factors.
In particular, Solaris is considered a perfect and exceptionally resilient vine, producing fresh, intense, and aromatic white wines.
Souvignier Gris, on the other hand, yields long, persistent wines with pronounced acidity.
We are awaiting the inclusion of these grape varieties in our province for the production of IGT and DOC wines. As of today, due to administrative restrictions, we can only produce the wines without specifying the designation. However, we firmly believe that cultivating PIWI varieties is undoubtedly a mark of quality and demonstrates an ever-increasing commitment to environmental sustainability.
